Lucius Cary is Managing Director and founder of Oxford Technology Management, a firm specialising in investing in very early-stage science and technology companies around Oxford. Within therapeutics and related deep-tech areas, he typically backs seed and early Series A rounds with investments in the $120K to $2.4M range. He has been investing in science-based startups since the early 1980s after founding and successfully exiting his own manufacturing business, and he holds degrees in Economics and Engineering from Oxford plus an MBA from Harvard. He was awarded an OBE in 2003 for services to business.
