Liam Ratcliffe is Head of Biotechnology at Access Biotechnology, the life sciences investment arm of Access Industries, based in New York. He leads a broad, long-term biopharma strategy backing innovative therapeutic platforms and products across company foundation, technology translation and company expansion, typically investing $100K to $5.0M in biotech, pharmaceuticals and therapeutics from Seed through Series B. Before Access, he spent a decade at New Leaf Venture Partners as a Managing Director focused on biopharmaceutical investing, and earlier held senior roles at Pfizer, including Worldwide Head of Clinical Research & Development and Development Head for Neuroscience over a 12-year tenure. He also serves on several biotech company boards and has an M.B.Ch.B., Ph.D., and MBA, reflecting deep clinical and business training.
