About Investor

Laura Yao is Founding Partner at Commit Capital in San Francisco, a pre-seed software fund focused on developer tools and infrastructure, co-founded with engineers from the early Palantir team. She left EQT Ventures in 2023 after five years as a Partner, where she led Series B investments in enterprise software, AI, developer tools, and data services. She also serves as Board Director at Fly.io (2022–present) and recently joined Motive's Board of Directors. She also serves as Advisor at Mastra (2025–present). Before EQT, she was a Senior Investment Associate at Bridgewater Associates (2013–2015) and Head of Strategy at Kairos Aerospace, a climate tech startup (2016–2018). She holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She was a Kauffman Fellow (Class 24, 2019–2022).
