About Investor

Kunio Handa is the President and Representative Director of Mizuho Capital and is based in Tokyo, Japan. He focuses on DeepTech, space, enterprise technology, and AI companies from the Seed stage through Series B. His investment interests include engineering-driven innovations, technologies for the space economy, enterprise software and business solutions, and intelligent systems powered by machine learning. Kunio generally invests between $300K and $5M, with a preferred commitment of approximately $3M. As a lead investor, he plays an active role in company selection, transaction structuring, financing decisions, and portfolio strategy. At Mizuho Capital, he supports technology companies as they strengthen their products and pursue continued market expansion.
