Komi Kyu is a Managing Director at HongShan Capital Group (HSG), heading the firm’s newly established Tokyo office. His mandate in Japan spans opportunities from growth-stage investments through buyouts, and his investing profile lists an investment range of $100K–$5.0M. Before joining HSG, he spent nearly a decade at Bain Capital in Asia-Pacific private equity, including work focused on the Industrials vertical. Earlier, he was a Project Leader at BCG (Tokyo) focused on growth strategy and transformations, and he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
