Kim P. Kamdar, Ph.D., is Managing Partner at Medical Excellence Capital, a life sciences venture capital firm focused on early-stage investing, and has also been a long-term Partner at Domain Associates since joining in 2005 and becoming Partner in 2011. She focuses on BioTech, Pharmaceuticals, Health IT, and Health & Hospital Services at Series A and B, with checks between $100K and $5.0M, bringing her background in small molecule drug discovery to identify companies with promising molecular and companion diagnostics for personalized medicine. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Truvian Sciences and Seraphina Therapeutics, and Chairman of the Board of Sera Prognostics, and sits on the boards of Evofem Biosciences, Epic Sciences, Alume Biosciences, Pleno, and Singular Genomics. Her past investments include Ariosa Diagnostics (sold to Roche), Corthera (sold to Novartis), and BiPar Sciences (sold to sanofi-aventis). She holds a BA from Northwestern University and a PhD in biochemistry and genetics from Emory University.
