Kevin Starr is a retired founding partner at Third Rock Ventures, where he co-founded the firm and focused on the formation, development, and strategic governance of portfolio companies. Third Rock builds life science companies around scientific innovation aimed at major unmet medical needs. Before co-founding Third Rock in 2007, Starr was chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, where he helped raise billions of dollars through strategic alliances and public financing and helped drive the company’s growth through expansion and acquisitions.
