Katie Walker is a Principal (and Owner) at Plexus Capital in Raleigh, where she leads new-deal execution and stays hands-on through portfolio oversight. Plexus is not a “seed/Series A” shop in practice; it’s lower middle-market private capital, doing debt with equity co-investment and equity solutions for profitable businesses (often companies with $2M–$12M EBITDA). Plexus describes initial investment size of $5M–$25M, with the ability to go up to ~$40M (and larger with co-invest) depending on strategy and deal structure. Before Plexus, she worked at Thomas H. Lee Partners (private equity) and Credit Suisse (investment banking), and she joined Plexus in 2015.
