Kai M. Hudek is a General Partner at 55 North, where he invests in Hardware companies with the potential to reshape large industries. Based in Copenhagen, he supports founders from Pre-seed through Series B. He is involved in identifying promising technologies, assessing engineering risks, structuring investments, and guiding portfolio companies through commercialization. His investment range extends from $500K to $15M, with a preferred commitment of approximately $5M. As a lead investor, he works closely with founders on product strategy, manufacturing partnerships, fundraising, and expansion. He is particularly interested in hardware businesses that combine strong intellectual property with clear industrial applications. Through 55 North, he helps technically talented teams transform difficult engineering ideas into globally competitive companies.
