Junichi Takami is an Executive Vice President in the Portfolio Group at Bain Capital, based in Tokyo, where he supports the Asia Pacific Private Equity portfolio. He is particularly associated with manufacturing and industrial businesses, working on operational value-creation across control and growth-equity deals, with typical investment sizes in the $1M to $100.0M range. His work spans efficiency programs, commercial excellence and transformation projects inside portfolio companies. Previously he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Tokyo and worked at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and he holds an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School plus a degree from the University of Tokyo.
