José Guerreiro de Sousa serves as a Partner at Armilar Venture Partners, focusing on investments in Security, Food and Beverage, Cloud Infrastructure, DeepTech, Generative Tech/AI, and SaaS companies at seed and Series A stages. His investment range typically spans from $100K to $5M. Guerreiro de Sousa has a BSc in Computer and Systems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He began his career as a Researcher at INESC and has accumulated over 10 years of experience in the banking industry, and 8 years as a marketing and commercial manager at Novabase SA, Portugal's largest IT solutions provider. He joined Armilar in 2004 and, after nearly two decades serving as a board member and observer in several portfolio companies, retired from executive roles in 2024 but continues to serve as an Investment Committee member.
