Johnnie Yu is an investor at Listen Ventures, an early-stage consumer-focused VC fund, and is based in New York. He generally invests between $1.5M and $4.0M (and at smaller ticket sizes as a scout/angel) in pre-seed to Series A consumer brands across social commerce, retail, food and beverage, consumer health, marketplaces, direct-to-consumer, creator/passion economy, and Web3/crypto. His background includes studies in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch, a “past life” in media and creative production, and roles in business analysis and digital marketing, along with building ConsumerDAO, a community at the intersection of consumer and Web3. He mentors at accelerators like Techstars and XRC Ventures and regularly speaks on consumer brand building and CPG.
