John Young is a brand builder, advisor and angel investor based in the Boston area, best known as the founder of Tribal DDB Worldwide, Young Brands and Archtop Ventures. As an investor, he typically participates with $5K to $1M checks at pre-seed and seed in gaming, esports, games, AR/VR, marketing technology, creator economy, media/content, direct-to-consumer brands and consumer internet, often with an emphasis on diverse and female founders. Earlier in his career he helped build one of the first digital agencies, Poppe.com (now part of Digitas), and later co-created Tribal DDB, contributing to early web advertising and iconic digital campaigns.
