John Neis is Executive Managing Director Emeritus at Venture Investors, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm, while also serving on several boards in the life sciences ecosystem. His investing centers on early-stage biotech, medical devices, digital health and health IT companies, typically at seed and Series A, with check sizes in roughly the low- to mid-single-digit millions of dollars. He has spent decades backing university spinouts and health-care innovators, particularly in the US Midwest, and has been involved with Venture Investors since its early days.
