John Luttig is a Partner at Founders Fund, having started as an intern nearly a decade ago and grown into the role, focusing on AI, Consumer Internet, Enterprise, and Logistics companies at seed, Series A, and Series B, with checks between $500K and $150M. He has worked on notable investments including Scale AI, Rippling, OpenAI, Figma, Cognition, Newfront Insurance, Flock Safety, Tagomi (acquired by Coinbase), and Loop. He writes widely-read analyses of software companies and a weekly newsletter on SaaS metrics and startup strategy. Before Founders Fund, he worked at the Thiel Fellowship and held software developer roles at Sourcegraph and Parlio (acquired by Quora), and was Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Review while studying computer science. He is based in San Francisco, California.
