Joel Cutler is Co-founder and Managing Director of General Catalyst, working from Cambridge and New York across consumer, enterprise and fintech investments. He typically invests between $500K and $100M, spanning seed through late-stage growth, with a strong focus on consumer internet, travel, marketplaces, fintech and software platforms. His portfolio and board history includes category-defining companies such as Kayak, Airbnb, Warby Parker and several other travel and consumer-tech businesses. Before founding General Catalyst, he co-founded and operated multiple travel and retail-focused companies including National Leisure Group, Retail Growth ATM Systems and Starboard Cruise Services, giving him a deep operator background in technology-enabled consumer services.
