Jim Hildebrandt is a Managing Director at Bain Capital, based in Hong Kong, where he has long been part of the firm’s Asia investment leadership. His current investing remit, as tracked by investor databases, covers Web3/crypto, fintech, insurance, and real estate/proptech, generally at Series A and B stages with deal sizes between $1M and $100.0M. Earlier in his career he was Managing Director of Bain & Company in Hong Kong and headed that firm’s private equity practice in Asia, advising on leveraged buyouts and strategic transactions across the region. This blend of consulting and investing experience gives him a deep perspective on large, complex deals in Asian markets.
