Jayson Punwani is a Partner at Abingworth in Menlo Park, where he writes $15 M–$30 M checks into Series A–C rounds in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and life-science tools. His most recent investment is Xilio Therapeutics, a clinical-stage oncology company. He is based in Menlo Park, California. Before joining Abingworth, he was Senior Partner at Takeda Ventures and Principal at Pappas Capital, and he began his career as a research scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Utah and an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
