Jay Bhatti is Technology Advisor at BrandProject and CEO of 49 Alpha. At BrandProject, he works with portfolio companies on direct-to-consumer technology and digital marketing, and the firm invests across three stages: incubation with $500K to $2M, pre-seed and seed acceleration with $750K to $2M, and Series A scaling capital from $1M to $5M. Before BrandProject, he co-founded Spock.com, which generated more than 100 million searches a month and powered search for networks including Friendster, Hi5, Bebo, and Tagged. Earlier, he worked in enterprise strategy and marketing at Microsoft and also served as co-chair of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Tech + Innovation transition team.
