Jason Ruth is a Principal at 5AM Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage biotech venture creation and investing from Seed through Series B with typical check sizes between $100K and $5.0M. His investment work includes company formation and board observer roles in novel therapeutics platforms such as Aktis Oncology and Ray Therapeutics. He began his investing career at 5AM in 2017, later helped establish the firm’s public investment activities, and subsequently served as a Partner at Merck’s MRL Ventures before moving to Wellington Management as Sector Lead for biotech private investments.
