Jason Pontin serves as a General Partner at DCVC (Data Collective), focusing on investments in Robotics, BioTech, AI, Enterprise, and DeepTech companies at pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages. His investment range typically spans from $5M to $25M. Pontin joined DCVC in 2021 after working for three years as a Senior Partner and Senior Advisor at Flagship Pioneering, and in 2020 co-founded Totus Medicines, a chemical biology company. Before becoming a venture capitalist, he ran media companies and wrote for publications including Wired, Financial Times, and The Economist, and was Editor in Chief and Publisher of MIT Technology Review from 2004 to 2017.
