About Investor

James Hardiman serves as a General Partner at DCVC (Data Collective), focusing on investments in AI, Security, Data Services, IoT, Enterprise, and DeepTech companies at seed, Series A, and Series B stages. His investment range typically spans from $5M to $25M. Hardiman has been investing at DCVC since 2013 and is particularly interested in technologies that better characterize, model, or manipulate biological systems, robotics and automation, and companies applying artificial intelligence to vertical problems. Prior to investing, he worked on data-driven sales and marketing strategy for large life-science and healthcare companies, and holds a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
