About Investor

James Goulka is Chairman and Managing Director of Arizona Tech Investors, one of the leading angel groups in the US Southwest. He focuses on very early stage tech companies, generally pre seed and seed, in areas such as medical devices, climate and clean technologies, semiconductors, SaaS and digital health, typically writing checks from about 100K up to 5M through syndicated rounds. Earlier in his career he held CEO and senior executive roles at multiple companies, including a long stint in publishing and technology, before moving full time into angel and venture investing. He is also active in the Arizona startup ecosystem as a mentor and board member.
