About Investor
Hussein Kanji is Founding Partner of Hoxton Ventures, a London-based early-stage venture capital firm he co-founded in 2013 after leaving Accel, where he previously invested in Consumer Internet, Financial Technology, and Software. He appeared on Forbes' Midas List Europe in 2023 and has backed approximately 40 startups, including British unicorns Darktrace, Deliveroo, and Babylon Health. Hoxton Ventures has $370 million in assets under management, having raised $215 million for its third fund in 2022. His investment focus is broad and deliberately anti-thematic, targeting early-stage companies with massive scale potential, typically at Seed to Series A, with checks between $1M and $3.0M. He holds an MBA from London Business School and studied Symbolic Systems at Stanford University, and previously worked at Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.
