Hemant Mohapatra is a Partner at Lightspeed India Partners, concentrating his investments on global SaaS, Enterprise Infrastructure, and frontier/deep technology sectors including crypto, space/satellite, and AR/VR, with typical investment stages ranging from Pre-seed to Series B and investment amounts between $1M and $10.0M. His work background includes previous partnership experience at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and roles in product and engineering at Google Cloud and as an engineer at AMD. Mohapatra spent approximately 15 years in the United States across Austin, Texas, and the Bay Area before returning to India, bringing with him a strong technical foundation that includes over six years as an engineer followed by an MBA. He completed his education at IIT Bombay and combines his analytical skills with creative pursuits as a poet who excels at mathematics.
