Hajime Honda is a Managing Director at Bain Capital Asia in Tokyo and a member of the Asia Pacific Private Equity team. He focuses on private equity investments in Japan across sectors such as consumer, industrial and services, typically leading buyout or significant growth-equity transactions in the $1M to $100.0M range. His work centers on partnering with management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic expansion in mid- to large-cap companies. Before joining Bain Capital he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in Tokyo, and he holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from The Wharton School.
