Gillian Tans is the former CEO and Chairwoman of Booking.com, where she spent nearly 20 years in roles including Head of Global Sales, Operations, COO, CEO, and Chairwoman, before stepping down as CEO in 2019. She is now a Partner at PeakSpan Capital, a growth equity firm investing in B2B SaaS and enterprise software companies, and a partner at Diverse Leaders in Tech. She founded Diversity Hero, an initiative supporting a more equitable European tech workforce, and serves on the board of directors of Spotify. She is an active angel investor focusing on TransportationTech, Lodging/Hospitality, and Travel at the Series B stage, with checks between $5K and $50K, including investments in Wheel the World, TravelPerk, and VanMoof. She is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
