George Cigale is a Venture Partner at Peak State Ventures, focusing on seed, Series A, and Series B investments in Education and Future of Work with typical investment amounts ranging from $100,000 to $5 million. He founded Tutor.com and served as its CEO until its acquisition by IAC in 2013, and has since been a Board Director, investor, or advisor to dozens of early-stage and growth companies in software, learning technology, and health. George currently serves as a Director or Trustee on the Boards of Columbia University Teachers College, The Wild Center, and Higher Ground Education, applying his deep entrepreneurial and operational experience to support innovative education and workforce solutions.
