Franz Lehmann is a Principal at TRUMPF Venture GmbH, the corporate venture arm of TRUMPF, based in Berlin. He typically invests $500K–$2.0M in seed and Series A rounds across industrial and “Industry 4.0” themes including material science, hardware, robotics, IoT, data/analytics, SMB software, AI, SaaS and broader enterprise software. TRUMPF Venture focuses on technologies that shape the future of manufacturing, photonics, automation and industrial software. Before moving into CVC, he worked as an Innovation Manager at TRUMPF, a Senior Associate/Junior Project Manager at McKinsey, and earlier held software and product roles at Siemens and SAP. He holds an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs and engineering/computer science degrees from TU Dresden and École Centrale Paris.
