About Investor

Ewen Cameron is an Operating Partner at Flagship Pioneering in Boston, where he also acts as an investing principal within the firm’s venture-creation model. His typical investment range is $500K–$15.0M, backing biotech companies from seed through Series B, primarily in the Boston / New England ecosystem. He works on Flagship’s venture-creation teams to explore new scientific white spaces, originate platforms, and launch new biotech companies. Previously he was a postdoctoral fellow in Jim Collins’ lab at MIT and earlier worked with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and he holds a biology degree from Yale plus a Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular genetics from Harvard.
