Eugene Chang is a Managing Director at SoftBank Ventures Asia and is based in Seoul, South Korea. He focuses on DeepTech, robotics, and hardware companies from the Seed stage through Series B. His investment work centers on technically complex innovations, robotic systems, and physical technologies with industrial or commercial applications. Eugene typically invests between $500K and $10M, with a preferred ticket of approximately $4M. As a lead investor, he plays an active role in technical evaluation, company selection, transaction structuring, and portfolio support. Through SoftBank Ventures Asia, he helps advanced technology founders commercialize their products and expand into broader markets.
