Eric Friedman is Managing Partner at Graph Advisors (New York), a fractional CFO/COO consulting firm for VC funds and family offices — handling back-office operations, fund reporting, LP communications, and financial systems design so GPs can focus on investing and founders. He writes and invests under the "Building The Machine" brand. Concurrent roles: Venture Partner and COO at Company Ventures, co-founder of GoFractional.com (fractional talent marketplace), and angel investor in early-stage startups. Career: Union Square Ventures (where he invested in Foursquare's Series A-C) → Foursquare (first BD/sales hire, helped scale 10→300 people) → Expa (built accelerator program 0-to-investments in 6 months) → BlockTower Capital → On Deck → Graph Advisors. Education: The George Washington University School of Business (2001-2004).
