Drew Chen is a Partner and Managing Director in Bain Capital’s Asia Pacific Private Equity team, based in Hong Kong. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in technology, media, telecom, and business services, typically in larger deals, with an investment range around $1M to $100.0M. His work centers on Asian transactions, including energy, fintech, and digital infrastructure deals where Bain often leads sizable equity checks. Before joining Bain Capital in 2005, he was a consultant at Bain & Company in Boston, and he holds both an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Harvard.
