Doug Leone is chairman of Sequoia Capital and remains a partner on Sequoia’s seed/early and growth teams. His work at the firm has spanned both early and growth investing, and his portfolio history includes companies such as RingCentral, ServiceNow, Nubank, Wiz, and Cyera. Leone joined Sequoia in 1988, became partner in 1993, and became managing partner in 1996. Before venture capital, he started his career in technical sales and later earned strong references from Sun Microsystems leadership that helped him break into the industry.
