Demetris Iacovides is a VC investor at Metavallon VC, backing frontier founders in the tech space, based in Athens, Greece. He previously spent about six years as Principal at Big Pi Ventures, a deep-tech-focused venture firm backing Greek and regional founders, evaluating early-stage investment opportunities with a focus on health-tech startups across material science, hardware, media/content, analytics, IoT, deeptech, and health & hospital services. Earlier in his career, he was Corporate Development Manager at Genesis Pharma, and a consultant at Deloitte and Novumed Life Sciences Consulting. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from New York University, an MSc in Management of Biotech Companies from Grenoble Ecole de Management, and an MSc in Social Sciences from the London School of Economics.
