Derick En’Wezoh, MD, MBA is a Partner at Susa Ventures, where he invests as a “no-nonsense” early-stage investor. He focuses on backing pre-seed and seed founders building in healthcare (digital health, care delivery, services) and AI/ML or generative AI applications, typically writing $1M to $1.5M checks at the seed stage. His portfolio includes early bets on AI and healthcare companies such as Together.ai, Ndea, and Nourish, and he often leads or co-leads rounds where he can be a hands-on partner. Trained as a physician, he holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MBA from Stanford, and previously helped build Viz.ai, giving him deep operating experience at the intersection of healthcare and AI.
