Denis Aven is a technology investor who sits on the investment team at 8VC and co-founded Kodiak, which partners with owner-operators to build enduring small businesses. He focuses on high-growth technology companies across sectors such as logistics, real estate/proptech, SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, and web3, generally investing from seed and Series A through later stages with check sizes in the $500K to $30M range. Previously he was an associate at Warburg Pincus and an analyst at Lazard, and he holds a BA in Economics & Mathematics from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
