About Investor

David Lee is Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics and Head of Samsung Next, where he leads the company’s venture and startup investment activities. He typically backs seed and early-stage software and internet companies, with check sizes in the $250K to $20.0M range, and has invested in areas such as SaaS, social networks, developer tools, AI and robotics. Before Samsung he co-founded and chaired Refactor Capital, a seed fund focused on health and biology, and earlier was Managing Partner at SV Angel, where he participated in investments in companies like Airbnb, Stripe, Coinbase and Dropbox. His earlier career included roles in Google’s New Business Development group, Baseline Ventures and corporate law, giving him a mix of legal, operating and venture experience.
