David Kirkpatrick is Managing Director and co founder of SJF Ventures, an impact oriented growth equity firm based in Durham, North Carolina. He focuses on rapidly growing positive impact companies in sectors such as climate and clean technology, energy, transportation, logistics, education, human capital and HRTech, food and beverage, health IT and wellness, typically at Series A. His investor profile lists an investment range of $3.0M - $10.0M with a sweet spot around $5.0M per deal. Earlier in his career he helped launch SJF Ventures in 1999 and has since led or co led multiple funds and served on numerous boards including Ambient Fuels, Terabase Energy, PosiGen, ENTOUCH and others.
