About Investor
David Gross-Loh (also known professionally as David Gross) is Co-Managing Partner of Bain Capital, a role he assumed in 2024, and continues to serve as Managing Partner of Asia, guiding the firm's platform strategy and activities across the region. He joined Bain Capital in 2000 and was a founding member of the firm's Asia business, launching and managing the Tokyo office in 2006. He led many of the region's most prominent private equity transactions, including the roughly $18 billion consortium buyout of Toshiba Memory (now Kioxia), where he retains a board seat, as well as Genpact, Hero MotorCorp, Japan Wind Development, Macromill, Jupiter Shop Channel, and Domino's Pizza Japan. He also led the creation of Bain Capital's Macro team, providing macroeconomic insights across the firm's platform. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at Bain & Company and worked in strategic planning at NEC Corporation in Tokyo. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
