Darryl Thompson is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at the New Voices Fund, a venture firm focused on entrepreneurs of color. He typically invests $100K to $1M per deal, with a sweet spot around $500K, in early-stage consumer brands across fashion, beauty, retail, ecommerce and consumer internet at seed and Series A. At New Voices he leads origination, due diligence, deal structuring, financing and portfolio monitoring, and has executed investments in more than 30 companies founded by people of color in recent years. Previously he was Chief Investment Officer for the Sundial Family of Companies, President of Belenos Capital Management, a partner at TSG Capital Group and head of corporate development for Reginald F. Lewis at TLC Beatrice, after starting his career in M&A at Morgan Stanley. Thompson holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, MIT and Stanford University.
