Darren M. Black is a Managing Director in the Boston office of Summit Partners on the Healthcare & Life Sciences investment team. He focuses on high-growth healthcare services, value-based care, physician practice management, pharmaceutical services, and tech-enabled healthcare, leading later-stage growth equity investments that fall within Summit’s typical $5M–$30M venture and $30M–$500M private equity check sizes. His current and past board roles span companies such as LifeStance Health, Sound Physicians, VaxCare, and multiple other healthcare platforms. Before Summit, he was a Managing Partner at SV Life Sciences and previously co-founded and served as President of ClinCare and PharmaStar, after starting his career as a healthcare consultant at Accenture; he holds an AB from Harvard and an MBA from Wharton.
