Darren Abrahamson is a Managing Director at Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, where he helps lead the firm’s global growth-investing efforts in software and technology-enabled businesses. His investment focus spans application software, e-commerce, fintech, web3/crypto, and healthcare IT, generally backing growth-stage and later-stage companies with equity checks in the $100K–$5.0M range, often within larger institutional rounds. He has led or co-led major deals such as investments in SumUp, Axtria and other scale-up software platforms. Previously a consultant at Bain & Company, he has built a career around scaling founder-led, capital-efficient technology companies rather than high-burn “growth at all costs” stories.
