Daniel Dart is the founder and General Partner of Rock Yard Ventures, a pre-seed and seed-stage venture fund backing industrial technology and logistics startups. He typically writes checks between $50K and $250K into transportation, logistics, real estate/proptech, smart cities and supply-chain technology companies, often at pre-seed and seed stages. His background is unusually non-linear: he was formerly the frontman of punk band Time Again, worked on human-rights and development projects around the world, experienced periods of incarceration and homelessness, and later earned an Executive MBA from MIT Sloan and a degree from the London School of Economics. Before launching Rock Yard Ventures he worked with Dynamo Ventures and Alpaca VC as an investor-in-residence and investor.
