Dan Phillips is a Partner at Sandbox Industries and Managing Director of the Blue Venture Fund, a $900M venture fund backed by Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans. He typically invests $1M to $20.0M at seed through Series B in healthcare, digital health, health IT, health services and impact/climate-related technologies that improve human health and livelihood. His current board roles span companies like Fort Health, Smart Data Solutions, Cooks Venture, Culture Biosciences, Debut Biotech, Full Harvest and Geltor. Earlier he helped build Healthbox, a Sandbox-founded accelerator supporting seed-stage healthcare startups, and he began his career in consulting after earning his degree from the University of Michigan.
