About Investor

Dan Forootan is an equity and startup investor based in the San Francisco Bay Area and serves as an angel member of Silicon Valley’s Band of Angels. His current investing profile shows an investment range of $25K to $300K, with a focus on pre-seed and seed-stage SaaS and B2B software, analytics and data services, cloud infrastructure, e-commerce, consumer internet, marketplaces and enterprise software. His career spans more than two decades as a technology entrepreneur in hosting, managed servers and email marketing, including founding StreamSend (acquired by J2 Global) and EZ Web Hosting (acquired by Deluxe/Hostopia). He has been an investor with Band of Angels since 2019 and holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, along with executive education from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
