Curtis Lee is Manager, Venture Engagement at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), where he helps run venture fund programs and startup–investor initiatives for the state. He invests as an NJEDA representative across areas such as fintech, enterprise software, digital health, climate/cleantech, robotics and broader deeptech from seed through Series B, typically with checks in the $100K to $6.3M range and a sweet spot around $1M. His role includes structuring and managing NJEDA’s venture products, SSBCI-related side-letter agreements and LP commitments into qualified venture funds. He is also a visible point of contact for NJ Founders & Funders and AI-focused grant and cohort programs, regularly appearing in NJEDA board materials as the venture engagement lead.
