Cristina Ghenoiu is a Senior Principal/Partner in Mubadala Capital's healthcare venture business, based in San Francisco, joining in September 2023. She is responsible for sourcing and investing in early and late stage healthcare deals, including supporting incubating companies, and led Mubadala's investment in Capstan Therapeutics, acquired by AbbVie in July 2025 for up to $2.1B. She previously was a Principal on the venture team at RA Capital (2021-2023), focused on biotech and pharmaceutical companies across seed through later private rounds, with a documented investment range of $100K to $5.0M and a sweet spot around $1.5M. Her background includes vice president roles on the biotech team at Longitude Capital, where she helped spin out and build companies such as Rivus (scientific co-founder) and 89bio (acquired by Roche for up to $3.5bn), and a senior operating role at Epirium Bio as SVP of R&D Operations and New Product Planning. Earlier, she was an equity research analyst at TD Cowen. She holds a PhD in biology from Rockefeller University (also affiliated with Weill Cornell/Cornell) and completed postdoctoral research in chromatin biology at Harvard Medical School.
