Clare Ozawa, Ph.D., is a Managing Director at Versant Ventures and leads investments in San Diego and the Bay Area. Her work spans biotech, consumer health, and health IT, typically at seed and Series A, with a published range of $100K - $5.0M. Before becoming a managing director in 2017, she oversaw strategic business operations for Inception Sciences’ research sites across North America, helped create and manage six new companies there, and earlier worked at Novartis and McKinsey.
