Christopher Dean is a Managing Director at Summit Partners in Boston, where he co-leads the Growth Products and Services team and serves on boards including a.k.a. Brands, ShipMonk and several consumer and technology companies. He invests growth equity primarily from late seed and Series A through Series B and beyond in sectors such as semiconductors, energy technology, education, e-commerce, consumer internet, fintech and digital health, typically writing checks from $5.0M to $50.0M with a preferred range around $20.0M. His background spans more than two decades at Summit Partners, and he currently also chairs the board of a.k.a. Brands. Earlier in his career he worked at Morgan Stanley, J.H. Whitney and Sun Microsystems, and he holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
